War
War
Finally rescue planes landed
For us who lay there stranded
Staring at the faces of bodies disembodied
Wondering will the next one be me?
Only that they weren't rescued ones as much as they were the fighter ones
Not everything is fair in war for what followed surely wasn't
Our fault, born on this side of land, our death sentence
Levelled us with pellets, burnt out bodies and with it, our innocence
