War And Peace

One wound, then another..we are in war with the unknown,

Each day we wake up ready to fight a war and each night we fall asleep with a lost war,

War is something we see each day,

Countries at war, bloodshed, pain, misery, suffering,

Families plucked away from each others arms,

Pain in each step of life,

Tears..tears above all of the mother who lost her son in the war,

Tears of the wife who lost her husband,

Tears of children,

Tears that drain the soul and make it lose its foothold,

When we speak of war the word peace follows on..,

Are we really at peace?

We need to question ourselves,

White banners held up in the sky, peace signs floating in the clouds of life,

We see peace reach out to us but truth is do we embrace it?

Each day we are ready to run at war,

Be it the war with people or with the world,

No sparse in our own selves we are at war between the heart and the mind too,

We are at war with our family, friends and fighting till we are drained,

We are draining our soul, our minds and above all the world around us too,

We need to stop, stand, stare let the clouds of peace embrace us,

Accept peace and let go of the war,

War is going to reduce us to ashes,

The ashes of gentleman and ladies hoping war had been replaced with peace.
