Wandering Mind

My mind likes to wander

To various different places

It might be here now

And then someplace else in a split second

There has never been one place

It seemed to stay

However for some reason

Unknown to me

It always likes to keep you there

Wherever my mind decides to go

I know it'll always come back

To the thought of you

It's like you're the constant my mind needs

To have its variable thoughts

Without the fearing of being lost

My mind knows what my heart desires

It is also aware of all the pros and cons

Yet it seems to be stuck on you

It seems as if you are all it really needs.

I could try to think of someone else

I could give them all of my time

Yet just like water is the only solution to quench the thirst

You are the only one who could keep me sane.
