Have you ever been told so,

That this is right,

To keep your broken wings,

Hidden and tied?

That the only way to live,

Is to never stand out,

To never be colourful,

Even in the darkest of crowds.

That you should be a blank canvas,

For them to paint on,

With the darkest of colours,

That they can get their hands on.

But have you forgotten,

How unique you used to be?

When your wings were never broken,

And you were ever so free.
