Unemployment
Unemployment
Unemployment, a heavy burden to bear
A constant worry, a nagging scare
The lack of work, a cruel affair
Leaves one feeling lost and in despair.
Days stretch long, with nothing to do
Dreams on hold, ambitions subdued
Bills pile up, debts accrued
Hope and optimism, hard to renew.
The job market, a barren land
Opportunities scarce, hopes unmanned
The search goes on, but no demand
Skills and experience, seem to be unmanned.
Unemployment, a societal ill
Causing pain and hardship, a bitter pill
Leaving families struggling, unable to fill
Basic needs, like food and shelter, they’re still.
Governments and institutions, try to aid
Offering training and skills upgrade
Hope and assistance, they try to pervade
Ease the burden, a helping hand to trade.
Unemployment, a battle for many
A struggle that can break any
Endurance and resilience, hard to carry
Yet, it is a fight, one must not bury.
