Twilight
Twilight
They say we both are different
Same like the sun and the moon
Just like the day and the night
Which exists but never unite!
They blame that one brings light
And the other brings dark night
Sun gets me the sunshine with rays
And I sleep with the moon when it's at bay
Living whole day in chaos and jays
Fighting back tears in the month of May
Go to the deserts, find an oasis
Maybe the nightmare ends living you in cosmos
Work commutes and cubicles haunt me these days
Where is my sun which used to shed me shade?
Late night conversations and overnight shifts
My coffee mug and my moon, both suffer drift
Will those memories flashback again
Red wine and a bottle of champagne
Shutting my eyes by seeing my moon
Wake up in your arms by the month of June
I wish time passes by like air
Everyone says "that's truly unfair"
But it is true that air once flew
Can never come back to the same place and find the new
So my dear sweetheart,
Why does our indifference become our enemy?
When we belong to the same progeny
I'm a selenophile
And you are heliophile
Our love shall mark the stamp of legacy
Our being different will teach them autocracy
The moon dies every night just to keep the sun alive
And the sun sets every evening to shine on some other moon...!
