Tunnel
Tunnel
Tunnel
A tunnel entraps me, darkness surrounds,
Alone I stand, with losses unbound.
No end in sight, no path to claim,
My courage wanes, slipping from my frame.
I yearn for dawn's warm, golden light,
To banish nights of endless fight.
But now, an unseen force holds me tight,
A noose around my neck, suffocating my sight.
My breaths are shallow, veins run dry,
My bones, a withered, parched sigh.
I thirst for oceans, to quench my soul,
And long to cling to mountains, to make me whole.
Trapped like a bird, I cry out loud,
But none hear my desperate crowd.
Is anyone there? Can anyone guide?
Show me the path, and the journey's tide?
Will I find an end to this endless night?
Or wander, lost, without a guiding light?
I'll press on, though my feet may stray,
And keep my eyes open, come what may.
