Too Little Too Late
Too Little Too Late
In my heart of hearts, I always held you dear.
Longing for your love, year after year.
Oh how I wished to show you then,
Verses I penned but never spoken.
Every day, I thought of your sweet face,
Daydreaming of your warm embrace.
Yelled I did, with all my might
Only you wouldn’t hear, cause I yelled in my heart.
Underneath the friendly face, I was in love with you.
Endlessly, hoping you would magically love me too.
Instead of telling you, I played coward,
Lest I ruined the special relationship we had.
Eternally bound in my mind are those memories,
Engraved in my heart, like sweet melodies.
Never to be forgotten, till unto dust I return.
