To Live A Dream

A blank canvas, a blank screen,

A blank paper, an amateur dream.

Two skill-less hands, one naive thought,

A few vain efforts, a disgusted scream.

A setback, a fall, a 3 am call,

Shaken wits, and silent withdrawal.

A broken heart, oozing out grief,

Just one small corner, alive with belief.

A wish to die for, a will to pursue,

A reason to live, a love so true.

Alive one spirit, some midnight toil,

Attempt to water, infertile soil.

Another step back, another down curve,

A new lesson learnt, more motives to serve.

A bit more of patience, a bit more of pain,

For no step taken, is ever in vain.

A blessing from the heavens, reversing the bane.

A rise in hope, a dreamy flight,

A moment of peace, pure delight.

Curves up and down, are all parts of life,

Bitter-sweet moments, peace and strife.

For the curves go on and goes on the battle,

You lose and you win, you fly and you settle.

But don't settle to being someone you are not,

Choose no one else's, your own stream of thought.

And don't ever suppress that little inner voice,

Strive if you have to, live a life of your choice.

For it adds a meaning, a purpose, a goal,

And pushes you ahead in the journey of the soul.

For all else may glitter but may not be gold,

A life of meaning, adds joy to growing old.
