This Time I Will Fight

This time I will fight,

Remembering the last time I had to take flight,

Because those on whom I had decided to rest my life,

Cowardly backed away leaving me alone to die.

This time I will fight,

With all that I have still left,

For those who can't stand up,

For those who are afraid to speak up,

For those who bear the burden of lies, so they are not left alone to suffer and agonize,

For those whose trust was shattered like large mirrors,

For those who had to taste the pang of betrayal,

For those who will now stand up and grow loyal,

To all who are trustworthy of their loyalty.

This time I will fight back,

The demons that live inside me,

The thoughts that tempted me to give up,

The wounds that dare to open up,

The memories of the past that haunt the present,

The broken pieces that overshadow the recent moments,

The pain that remains hidden within me,

Trying to break free.

This time I will fight back for myself,

To show others that the sayings are not wrong,

A wounded tigress is the fiercest of all.

This time I will fight to be myself,

To not be a servant of others injunctions,

To not be a robot for taking mere instructions,

To not let myself be lied and flattered with false words and some descriptions,

To finally live the dream that my soul wishes,

To finally live a life without any guilts,

To finally soar high like I was meant to,

To finally fight back with all that I have to.
