And they hurt you again and again.

They once again put you through the same vindictive behaviour.

As if the previous actions had not been enough.

And the thing is,

You are not as naive as you had been then,

And they know this.

But they still try to hurt you,

For their cannot erase that goodness,

That ounce of innocence,

That still persists in your mind,

Despite of all of their previous vendetta.

They search for new tactics,

To get to your nerves,

To get to your weaker side,

And strike on it, with weapons of untrue intentions.

You can sense the desperacy in their mannerism.

To make you surrender to their malice,

But you persist this time.

For all of their previous accomplices,

Had been a result of your unconditional love for them,

And now, you do love them,

For it has never been in your nature to hate any being,

But you do not forget the sufferings your heart has gone through.

You do not forget the scars, your soul still bears.

You cannot overlook those wounds,

Some of which are still fresh in your mind,

Bleeding the pain of betrayal.

You have forgiven them,

But not forgotten all of the agony,

You have been through.

And now you know better

Than to put your heart, your soul and your mind

Through all of that again.

You are not the same old version,

Which they had successfully broken.

You are a now

A Phoenix which has risen from its broken pieces.

And has emerged even stronger

They cannot break you now.
