There you lie

Hush.

Hide.

Standing by the bedside,

it stares.

Beware

of what beneath the shadows lie.

Pretend 

to spend

your time in the dream isle.

Imposter

sneaks closer.

Snatch the sheets and there you lie.

One, Two, Three

Run!

Out of the door, across the floor.

Down the stairs, chased by nightmares.

Longer strides, grab a knife.

Turn back and attack!

Two players

Rolling tears

One has won and one has died.

Trip.

Drip.

Just lay down and close your eyes.

Shake.

Awake.

And safe in the bed you lie.
