There Was a Time
There Was a Time
There was a time when it roamed freely and about
In circle short and long
Orbiting the might Sun was its daily chore
Oblivious of what lay within its shore
Making the other planets get cross with envy
They thought, "Why don't just like it, we too be"?
Laden with lives, friendly and nice
Not knowing the inside grim reality
It got abused, demeaned and molested enough
Its own people overused its resources much
There were signs since ever before
Melting glaciers and icebergs galore
The marine life was dying, corals ending
But it all fell on deaf ears
Then came a time, a tiny virus entered
Into its core and created havoc
The abusers locked up inside and
Earth in great shock
The other eight realized
It's safe to be a planet without no lives!
