The Unpaid Debt

Animals are the nation's treasure,

watching them run in the forest is such a pleasure.

Domestic animals have always been one of our needs,

as they help us carry out great deeds.

But all we do is lock them in cages,

sadly, this practice has been going on for ages.

All we do is pardon them from life,

using guns, darts and knife.

Oh! what else can they do but cry?

when they see their family die.

In the ground, their cold bodies are laid,

it's an unforgivable debt to be paid.

What's their importance, I wish we all knew,

people who actually care for them are few.
