To bid last goodbye to

The Tricolour that draped the casket

Was removed neatly folded

Handed over to the young

Soldier's anxious wife Kanika

While sobbing, shedding tears

She embraced the nation's pride

Subduded, sublime, saddened atmosphere

Was shaken when to honour

Twenty one guns were fired

Soon the flames carried the soul

To the galaxy where brave

Sons of the soil were dwelling
