The Stranger in Me
The Stranger in Me
There is a stranger in me,
Who lives with me,
Everyday she reminds me,
Of so many things I want to forget.
She is a Stranger,
She reminds me of my follies,
Still when I look into the mirror,
I see a friend in her.
She is my guardian,
She is a part of the prayers,
Which my Mother,
Has prayed for me.
She gives me the strength,
To stand my stead,
In case situations alike,
And come out best in adversities.
For I know she is my conscience,
Though a Stranger to Me,
But a Friend alike,
To guide through the follies of my life.
Just be with,
Oh ! The Stranger in me,
For I wish to see thee,
In every wee hour of my wee life,
Oh! My friend,
The Stranger in Me.
