Children- A Gift Of God

Have you ever thought!

Of the Why you were born,

The how is very obvious,

But the why is more serious.

  The Love that you get as children,

  The tantrums which are taken as granted,

  So much thought goes behind it,

  So much love taken for granted.

The smile that a child has on his face,

Is just enough to lighten up the day's work,

The joy on her face,

Can just dry up the day's sweat away.

    They are reason parents yearn,

    To be Parents,

    They are the centerstone 

    Around which the life revolves.

They are the reason to be,

And the aim of the entire life,

For Anyone to be Parents.

    But,

    There are those wee lives,

    Who came to world with the how,

    But don't know the why,

    Who don't whom to turn to,

    When in hunger or in thirst.

Whose lap to sit and have a meal,

And whose shoulder to climb,

For a joyride,

Who stand by the streets,

Looking at you with the yearnings,

Of years to come.

    So,

    The next time we show tantrums 

    Think about the lesser fortunate,

    And show a tad lesser tantrums.

For all you wee little ones,

Who I think should know this one lesson,

Don't take your Ma and Pa for granted,

For you are the gift God granted.
