The Resurrection

Easter is the Sunday Christ proves his true affection

A Holy day we Christians share about the resurrection

A notable time in history that comes from God above

The Savior of this world of ours has come to prove his love

Jesus the Messiah, taught truth upon the earth

He served his true life purpose right from the virgin birth

He came to give direction on how to truly live

He taught with true conviction

Had so much love to give

Some they did believe him

Others were afraid

He gave his life to free mankind for all the sins they made

He was beaten up and tortured then sentenced to his death

Forsaken by the Father upon his dying breath

They whipped

Spit and laughed 

at him then nailed him to a tree

All these things had happened so people might be free

He died like any other man

Was taken to his grave

The Savior found his resting place

A hole inside a cave

The third day he did rise again

Ascend up in the sky

He stands beside the Holy Ghost and Father way on high

The holy book has shown that Christ has proved his true affection
