The Rain On The Way...

Poem by jainam on the way to mahabaleshwar...

The unending greyness encompassed me in oblivion,

Dampening the shades of red, and Vermillion.

Though not complete oblivion if one wouldn't look afar,

For I was stuck in a cacophonous cloud in one noisy car,

I tried to focus my thoughts and emotions,

While the bumps and jerks made me reminisce Newton's Laws of Motions.

The heavy deluge continually poured,

As if the clouds were poked with innumerable pores.

With time the sky only got more gory,

Whisking the sun of it's mystical glory.

As my thoughts wandered the uncharted kingdom of the sky,

The honkings and pitter-patter were muffled to a distant cry.

I mused at the sky, brooding over the joy of ascending towards the sun,

While the eternal fireball cowered behind the entirety of cotton.

As the ravenous clouds balled up in a dense mass, beshadowing the entire terrain,

The trees crunched and crackled to the intensifying downpour, bowing to the might of the rain.

Lightning sizzled along the dark morning sky, Thundering as it sang out its battle cry.

The battle finally ended, the clouds finally drained out of their might,

Witnessing the sun reclaims the sky was such a pleasurable sight.!!
