The Pal I've lost to the Pandemic
The Pal I've lost to the Pandemic
I found myself;
Castaway in a place,
Amidst a swathe of dunes,
Unbeknownst of human traces.
I felt the aloofness,
Where, seemed all eerie,
I trembled in trepidation;
Seeking for a shoulder.
By then, a sudden knock:
The paperboy on the door,
Brought me back,
Into the locked walls.
My eyes flicked through the daily, all quick,
With tears rolling down my cheeks,
Finally, I spot my pal, in the corner obit:
A young medico lost, in saving lives.
