The onset of Menarche

It's 2am and it's the beginning of the most stressful darkest nights of the year

For a young girl still not asleep and worried a lot about her 10th board exams beginning the very next morning

Although a meritorious student who has always been among the toppers in every other exam

Not because she felt diffident about facing her crucial board exams

But because of the severe pain, in her stomach and lower abdominal region, migrating to her uterus

The pain haunted her like a harrowing ghost that hampered her preparedness and excitement to face the exams

Apprises her mother of the excruciating pains she is undergoing just a few hours before the start of her first exam

Her mother understands and confirms with her daughter it's dysmenorrhea and it's the onset of Menarche

Croons and comforts her daughter and the mother is all jubilant about it but is deeply pained and troubled as much as her daughter by the timing of the onset of her daughter's Menarche

Puts her daughter to sleep on her comforting lap

On waking up at the sunrise she realizes there have been clots and persistent bleeding in her uterus all night

On doing quick yoga and having relaxing bath she musters her strength and courage to appear for her first exam

Brings together her concentration and focus on facing and writing the exam for 3 hours

Appears for her first exam and looked meek and ill while she entered the exam hall as she hardly could have anything to replete her stomach in her breakfast

This continues until her last exam after a week

But on the day of her last exam she fades and falls unconscious half way writing her lengthy biology exam

Suddenly the invigilator not knowing what happened calls upon the doctor immediately for help

Doctor says nothing to worry about

Slowly she opens her eyes and smiles as always

Resumes writing the paper upon having glucose

Completes writing her last exam and breathes easy as she Ventures out of the exam hall

Feels like she is victorious in a warfare

Yes indeed she was after a couple of months as she emerged as the national topper

And the only student who scored out of out marks in Mathematics, which was her first paper, and in biology

Kudos to you for proving that with dedication, determination and perseverance that any young woman of your sort can prove anything
