The 'Night Watcher Returns
The 'Night Watcher Returns
I saw him standing there,
The sad sculpture that was not fair;
Suddenly I felt something strange,
That he and I were similar to a range.
Every time I met him in my break,
He just said ' stay awake ',
I ignored him clueless :
Thinking him lifeless.
Soon became my friend, The lone-time partner,
Motioning the winds towards me ;
To brush its invisible knuckles through my hair,
To comfort me always in times of distress.
One day I sensed his smile,
And I just watched him from within a mile ;
He just said 'child, it's time, stay awake ';
An unknown fear clothed in shivering robes.
I turned to run but,
There stood The 'Night Watcher:
Stretching his arms wide,
To hug his Daughter in Distress.
