The Stray Cat...

The Stray Cat...

Lost, lonely, with a fierce gaze,

She lay there with a sad grin;

Her owner found her no fun,

She was there, lost in her thoughts.

She expressed her grief, yet,

People made fun of her cry,

Her system starved for weeks, but,

She fed herself with hope.

Surviving the cold and dark nights,

Her tissues were lifeless and stiff ;

Her eyes caught prey before her, but,

She couldn't move her body.

She was pitied and was saved;

The stray cat got a new owner,

I took her in my arms gently,

Fed her with new life and breath.
