The Night Song
The Night Song
Looking up at the western sky
I often see a blinking star
Waving her hands at me.
She sometimes calls by my name.
It's one o'clock now,
I'm trying to peek out
Through my broken pane
But can't find anything.
I can see the colour neither of
The leaves nor of the flowers;
It is only the dark
Dancing on my Shoulder.
A dimmed flame's coming
From the deep of the darkness.
She's looking into my eyes
And I'm falling in love repeatedly.
But I can't find the way to meet her.
It's the hottest night of the year,
Foxes are howling nearby.
I'm listening to the elegy
Coming out of the soul
Of a narrow stream.
The melting candle of my closet
Calling by my name aloud.
She wants my company
Before she goes out.
