The New Year
The New Year
He dropped me in a lane passing by,
And in a hurry 2018
Bade me a good-bye.
In his car was I seated
With much despair,
Standing by the lane I felt
There was no one to care.
All of a sudden,
I saw a car far away,
It was huge, clean and shiny;
Was all I could say.
The car approached me with a roaring sound,
Gazing at it; a glimpse of hope was all I found.
The name of the driver was 2019,
Wearing a sweater,
Black and clean.
He
Offered
Me a lift
For an year's travel.
An offer which
Merely made me marvel.
His car was filled
With a number of goodies,
Namely - joy, happiness harmony and peace.
I thanked God for the timely help he provided,
From then, my despairs from the previous car faded.
With a mound of destinations to venture,
I fastened my seat-belts for a whole new adventure.
