The Lusty Wind
The Lusty Wind
She moves in wondrous ways
Through the tree branches, she blows and sways
Illuminated by the crystal lights
To dwell in the solemn shades of the endless night
Draped in an ethereal red gown
Descending from the high mountain peaks
She takes all the leaves and flies them so high
And briefly let's them go
As they fall from the sky
I stand near the seashore
Ardently waiting to hear her eerie whistles
For I know her power, her beauty and grace
She can be anywhere, she can be at any place
She comes dancing upon the shore
Blowing away the sand, twirling the waves
She gently kisses my forehead
And drifts afar to the dim-vaulted caves
She returns and plays with my hair
Then puts her lusty lips on mine
And sends a chill down the spine
Upon my soul between the kisses and the wine
Her unmeaning joys now enervated
And in the starless silence, as the nights dimmed
She evanished into nothingness
For she was the silhouette of the Lusty wind...
