The Lost Wallet.

The Lost Wallet.

The two met in the middle of the road.

Where there was a huge, black hanging board.

The street was moving at its speed,

In the wake of the dawn and its greed.

Everyone had forbidden their own chance,

To do their bit in the city of France.

While they kept on moving not knowing why,

They heard a loud and fearful cry.

A lady had lost her wallet to a thug,

Standing beside a beggar with a mug.

The crowd gathered to help her in the chase.

But the nasty one had vanished in the maze.

Who knew what was to unfold next...

They all thought they were doing their best!

So then the two came close to the lady,

She saw them and felt they were a bit shady...

They asked her what was in her wallet...

She said there were two tickets to the ballet.

They then entered the maze for her,

And came out without a single murmur!

They found the wallet yet did not tell the lady...

After all, she knew that they were shady!

That evening they enjoyed the couple dance

And all this happened in the city of France.
