The Lighthouse
The Lighthouse
In flashes of beam lights
It provides lifelines
To see they wreck not;
The boats at sea.
And the sea itself glowed
In its golden light.
But only the lighthouse knows
How lonely it is...
It can never get close
Neither with the sea that surrounds
Nor with the boats that have
A life in its light.
Alone it stands
Quite tall and fair
Silent and forlorn
In solitude......
