THE KIND WORDS

I saw my neighbour in the morning and asked him "How are you"?

'I am okay but this migraine is causing severe pain since last night'.

After walking a few yards in the street, I met an old man I know well

"How are you"? 'I am okay but struggling with aches and back pain'.

 

I walked further to purchase the daily Newspaper at the corner shop,

"How are you"? 'My neighbour died last night with a fatal stroke'

While returning home I met my old friend, "How are you?"

He expressed his concern about me and my struggle to walk? 

 

I met our local Post Man on my way back home "How is the family?

He shared a sad news that his father-in-law died of cancer last week! 

I got home and told my wife everything what happened, she got wild! 

"Why do you discuss personal issues with Tom, Dick and Harry?" 

 

She also said, "Who is not suffering from headache and back pain?

Everyone is a health expert here to offer free readymade therapy!"

Next day, I booked an appointment with my own doctor to consult

I was worried to death thinking about cancer and the worst to come!!

 

Doctor did a thorough examination, tests and no treatment prescribed!

"No serious problem, aches and pain common in your age, take it easy" 

His kind words and his reassurance relieved my worries and anxiety;

Returned home at a gallop and thanked my wife for her right advice!
