The Joy Of Being A Mother

Through that one light kick in the womb 

I felt what joy of being a mother was!

Watching the baby bump growing 

I knew the responsibilities weren't going to be easy! 

As the oxytocin swirled through my veins 

I found love in its most innocent face!

With the knowledge of my essence in his veins 

My joy and pride reached cloud nine!

The first cries and smiles of him

Gave me another reason to live more! 

Clutching my fingers in his fist 

My love defined all its limits!

Sharing the same blood with that little kid

Made me feel empowered and invincible!

Watching him take his first steps 

Was the most rewarding experience for me!

Giving birth to him was an experience 

Of having a rebirth of mine! 

People here say dependency irritates 

But to me, it was the newfound joy! 

Being a mother is not easy 

But it's the most joyous experience for every woman!
