The Holy Season Of Lent

We have forty days of lent,

During which we for all our sins repent!

Starting from Ash Wednesday,

Til Easter Sunday, the Feast Day!

In all those full forty days,

We pray, be good and fast in different ways!

This is the time to come closer to God,

After all the wrong paths we have trod!

We are reminded we will go back to dust one day,

With blessed ash on our foreheads on Ash Wednesday!

Then we pray, repent and fast in our own way,

Maybe give up lies, anger, sweets or alcohol right away!

In the last week, we mourn on Good Friday,

The day Jesus was crucified till death all the way!

Then it's Holy Saturday, time for the midnight mass,

After that, it's all celebration and happy times surpass!

To welcome our risen Lord with all devotion,

And ask Him to bless us all with our deserved potion!
