I spot a star high above in the sky ,
Hiding in the thunderclouds ,
It shone so bright and spread its light
Like a diamond in a crown.
The wind blew whispering into my ear ,
Elated to see the gem of the sky.
It bounced and hopped on a tree top
Like a 3 year old child.
The trees sang just like a rock band ,
And the moon smiled as if it were a celebration .
Then slowly the dawn approached
stealing everyone's elation .
The man once again missed
His chance to meet the wonder of the sky.
The moon pitied and the clouds cried ,
No more did the wind danced.
The world looked like a static maze ,
As if death had rolled upon it .
All they could do was to wait for a new night
In an endlessly ending dawn ...
