The frozen tree
The frozen tree
The frozen tree,
Was a silent spectator
To a grief-stricken pier,
Standing alone
On the threshold
Of a winter,
That had splintered
Existence!
The deep waters,
Cold and unfeeling,
Reflected the chill,
The darkening shades,
Deepening the pain!
The snow mirrored
The sky,
White and pale,
Nothing to break the monotony!
Curved landscape,
Boomeranging
Into solitude!
I breathe in the fresh air,
Exhale the old,
For in emptiness there's something to behold.
I have emptied my cup,
That was once filled to the brim
With illusions that
Hastened a definite kill!
This pause
Was needed
To be grounded,
For Life has a way
Of making you disgruntled!
A breath of fresh air,
Clears up the clogs,
Freeing up space
For love, thus
Releasing hate!
The winter chill,
Had snowed in on me,
Awakening me to a spring,
That promises a freedom
To take wing
And fly home,
Not just for the winter
But for infinity!
