The Ethics Of Love
The Ethics Of Love
You used to call me your 'moon',
And I believed I was the "light"
That broke through your darkness,
And glowed tenderly through your nights.
I used to call you my 'sun'
That brightened up my day
You cheered up my worried heart,
And cut up all my shadows away.
I slid and moved,
Yet stayed a part of your galaxy,
I remained moving in the orbit,
As if pulled by your gravity.
But I was a fool I never noticed,
The space that lay between us
Which needed many light years,
To cross all of this distance between us.
I am the moon you are the sun,
So I want to be by your side,
As I am forever destined
For we will share the same sky.
