The chair of Memories
The chair of Memories
Though the chair lies empty, you remain a guest in my heart,
This quiet, lonely house is still a home where you are a part.
Every day my eyes search for that familiar, cherished face,
In this city of memories, you have left your permanent trace.
Whenever I sit alone, gazing at that vacant seat,
Silent longings awake in my mind, bittersweet.
The walls, the doors, and the breeze all ask where you have gone,
Without you, this entire life feels desolate and withdrawn.
'Murali' don't ask me about the pain of this empty space,
Even in an empty chair, your memories find their place.
