The Butterfly Effect
The Butterfly Effect
A butterfly sat on a flower,
Clapped its wings to fly away.
The flower behind it quivered
And caused the pollens to spray.
The pollen fluttered along
And formed a seed.
The seed grew into a shrub
To its own healthy breed.
The healthy plant unperturbed
Grew into a fine garden.
The bees found this patch
A generous piece of heaven.
They sucked the nectar
And build their hive.
High on a window sill
Where they would thrive.
The dog guarding the gate
Was in a deep slumber.
It snapped and chewed
the queen bee asunder.
All the bees flew and
Stung the poor creature.
The loyal beast flailed
And died two days later.
The owner of the house
Was without a guard.
The rich structure
Was easy to bombard.
The thieves had their eyes
On the easy prey.
They rummaged in the house
And stole unafraid.
When they sat to divide
What they owned illegally.
They ridiculed each other
And quarreled publicly.
The voices grew louder,
And words turned to fists.
One brought a knife,
Took one off the list.
The public bared witness
To the bloody crime.
The police arrested all
And sentenced them for a lifetime.
A prisoner owned a house
His only son as the heir.
He sold the house and studied
to become an engineer.
He built large windmills
Beside the ocean edge.
Three Long and wide wings
Attached to the rotating head.
They pushed the air away
Where the wind unfurled.
The ocean caught the motion
And its surface whirled.
When wind and water together
Swiveled in the same form.
Far away from the lands,
There rose a mighty storm.
