Nostalgia
Nostalgia
I find myself chasing that memory
Just to hold it tight in my arms
And take a deep breath of its old scent of home
Bringing the fragrant magic of those times
Like the scent of the early rain long dried
A fading memory locked away in time
And yearning to caress the forgotten memory
Like a lost, forgotten child
Still trying to catch hold of the memory in the wind,
Gently swept away by time.
I feel protective,
For I don't want to contaminate its magic
With the present.
It's time for me to let go.
Such is the unforgiving pang of nostalgia,
Makes you feel like a pained lover that
Overwhelms your emotions.
