I Still Feel Her
I Still Feel Her
Just like my Petunias and Roses
She stays with me forever,
She caresses me and loves me
And promises to part with me never.
Though I know she is untrue
For there is not a thing that stays with you.
However, I choose to live with this lie
'Cause sometimes things are better pretty than true.
I can still feel her breathe-
Breathe close to me like she used to,
Alas, I don't see her anymore but
I choose to be called blind than untrue.
I can feel her stare at me and smile,
But I don't feel her sad anymore
I think her laugh is no more fragile.
I can feel her talking to me
Talking to me in a voice no longer in pain,
I still feel her running along-
Running along the petrichor of rain.
I can still feel her crying-
Albeit crying tears of joy for she no longer a slave,
I can still feel her holding my hands
As I lay my roses on her grave.
