The Assault of a Soul

The Assault of a Soul

1 min 206 1 min 206

Woke up looking to have a little ray of hope,

Like the folded sheets of my bed,

Desperately seeking to curl up to my pains,

Taking a tiny step early in the day,

Wanting to find sunshine, enjoy the craze,

The gloaming kitchen feels so great,

Reminding oblivion and stumbling upon my nightmares,

I lay myself to float,

In the water of unwanted thoughts,

Look me in the mirror,

Making an effort to smile, stretching my lips,

Walking barefoot searching,

to feed my crimes,

Burning my flesh on a stove,

Serving it with the blood of my dreams,

Plants in my house started to turn ugly with my grief,

Lusted to grow them in the balcony,

Chopping their wings,

Expecting them to fly,

Curtains encouraging the sun,

Even sunshine is abusing my skin,

Blood flowing in veins chant the lyrics of foreshadowing my end,

I laugh so loud that it reflects the shape of my cry,

Digging my eyes deeper to find a tear swallowing the agony I hide,

I lay awake on a bed which began to hate my presence,

I gaze blankly mirroring the ghost of my failed existence
