Taste Of Life

Taste Of Life

A hundred doors laid ahead,

Offering me gifts I already had,

But behind one I knew there was you,

Which door to choose I didn't know.

But to have you, each door, I wanted to go through,

The more doors I opened, the more eager I grew

To taste the life I so much needed.

A door offered me a plethora of riches,

Without a second thought, I had it shut.

Another one offered me a place overtly calm,

But what fun would be there without your voice,

I declined, then opened the final door,

Two eyes looked at me and smiled in ways that

Gave me the taste of the life I always needed.
