Saw a shooting star flash across the sky

Made a wish she should not die

Felt a chill run up my spine

My wish would surely come true tonight

'Hang on for some more time, Mother of mine'.

Felt a quiver pass through our hands entwined

To my pleas responded; spirits sky rocketed

Prayers had borne fruit; she opened her eyes

From deep coma woke up; daughter recognized

Serene face again broke into an angelic smile

Tears of joy rolled down cheeks

Clung together, hugged and kissed

Heard pelted of rain on window panes

Tear stained pillow clung to chest

Reality struck; years ago was laid to rest.
