Success After Failure

I participated in the London Olympics

In a fifty kg weightlifting category

I had come with the intention of winning a medal

I came to the spot where I had to lift the weight

I choked looking at the insane crowd

My mind was not in sync with my body

All energy I had gathered over year's got diminished in a moment

I failed to lift the weight as my mind was filled with negativity

The whole crowd booed me out of the building

Tears of sorrow inflicted terrible pain in me

Winners celebrated as I was dejected

All my efforts over the years went in vain in a minute

Failure taught me the value of failure

I won a gold medal thanks to my positive mind

Tears of joy injected bliss in me

I had mastered the art of controlling my mind,

That gave me success after a much important failure.
