Life Restarted

Life taught a lot,

Lessons that I learned left a spot.

Mind failed to forget the folks who hurt,

Stupid, went on judging them

Who thoroughly cared!

Some memories I could never erase.

Mistakes became the merry maze!

Experiences made me strong,

So that once again, assuredly

I could go wrong.

Heartaches became a habit,

When most often it came to visit.

Desires never ended;

With myself, I used to get offended.

Even in cognizant communities

I felt alone,

As there was no one whom I could summon.

My emotions left me, for no one ever valued them,

My solitude stayed with my heartless body,

I had no one to blame!

Happiness bid goodbye and

Without a smile, my lips ran wry.

Summarizing this short life I found,

I was standing against myself,

Angry and unsound.

Will my reflection also leave me?

The thought fell upon me, and I fainted frightfully.

Getting my senses back,

I found myself anew.

From all desolation, dissatisfaction, and disappointments, I was freed!

I felt the fresh breeze and contentment all around,

Brushing aside the blazé chaos,

Took heed of my cerebral sound.

It recited to my heart,

To restart the voyage of life,

To hold the steering firmly,

To control the drive.

Swimmingly it started,

Now I'm enjoying the trip,

Over my feelings and thoughts

I've got a good grip.

Lips spread themselves merrily,

To gift a smile to my face,

Naughty emotions knock on my heart's door 

And endearingly embrace.

Some wounds are still not healed,

But I've learned to breathe with them.

Those aching thoughts are now sealed,

And so are my mind's mayhems!

I adore life's disparately designed games,

I fall, then prop up,

Don't expect a helping hand anymore.

Changed the rules of living,

And now far and wide

Only my laughter roars!
