Stranded!

You have stranded me in the walk of life.

Stranded me in this long strife.

You left me at destiny's stake.

Was your promise just a fake ?

You promised me things would be fine

Dreams come true - yours and mine.

And now you just walked away

Without a single thought to stay.

Why did u give me this false hope.

Torture an addict for his dope ?

There was this belief I'd nurtured

Which time has now mercilessly butchered.

Not knowing what to have faith in now

With tearful eyes and head in a bow.

Move ahead on life's path, I will.

Though wanting and hoping still.

I know not if I am right.

For there is no happy ending in sight.

But there seems no other path,

So walk I will with all dreams I hath.

Drawing courage and some warmth

On cold lonely nights that harm.

I know you'd never think

Of the helpless state - and on its brink ,

Stands a friend alone in time.

Repenting in solitude for friendship's crime.
