When You Sing No More
When You Sing No More
I hear in the distance your laughter
As I walk closer it disappears
Then the air is filled with singing
Your melodious soothing words ease the painful past
I find solace in the words that turns my mind back to those childhood days
I sigh
But I cry
For its just a memory of that beautiful past
I search the rooms you're not there
Your work place is empty
Your table is empty
Your chair is empty
But the song I hear is the song you sang
Because he lives I can face tomorrow
Because he lives all fear is gone
Because I know he holds the future
Those lines so crystal clear in my mind
But you're not hear to sing that song
For you have crossed the sea to a land of milk and honey
I try so hard to find your ship but the darkness embraces it
All I hold is your memory my dear baby sister
It's our sister's birthday today 24th February
You're not here to sing happy birthday to her
We miss you so much and long for that sweet voice
To just sing that song one more time
But the grave has silenced your voice
My heart throbs with pain
