Spirit Of Beauty
Spirit Of Beauty
She whispers with the winds,
Her heart of golden strings,
Her eyes are crystals fused together,
Her swiftness makes my heart shiver.
Are you there when I need you?
Ay, the Spirit of Beauty come along!
Come when I need you to!
There is no summer afternoon so hot and dry,
No winter evening so cold and harsh,
Than the one when I don't get to see you.
The silvery cloak that you wear,
And move through the forests that bear
Your love! And, alas, all I mean to say!
You're the most beautiful creature I see every year.
You steal my glances when I'm off working,
The smile you wear has my heart on it,
I am so vulnerable, so much enthused,
Whenever I am around you!
You lift me up when I'm down,
Only you, the eternal Spirit of Beauty!
O, while I see you dancing in the skies, I think,
You define me, and the lives of thousand others!
You define beauty, and, I, being your believer
Lay my heart unto you.
I have no interests in Politics or History,
Or Science or Math, or Geography,
I am no leader, I am no teacher.
Call me an artist, a musician and oh, a lover!
I am just a poet, one who has no duty,
Can spend his entire life chasing you, the Spirit of Beauty.
