Spicing Up Our Lives

Never ever had I rejoiced

My experience of experimenting

In my kitchen with limited resources

That this phase of lockdown

Has narrowed down to

Value the importance of everything available

Spicing up our lives even in

The confinement of our residences

Selecting the ingredients to match

The requirement of the recipe requested

Cooking; an act to win over our beloved

Savoring the delicacies from the kitchen to mouth

Aroma originating from the kitchen

And spreading out in the vicinity

Taking us to the memories of dishes

Cooked by our moms and grannies

Crackling sound adding a melody;

So divine seems this confluence

Of aroma, texture, sound, and taste

Is all enough to collect

A handful of genuine praises

Resulting from the right proportion

Of ingredient with patience 

Never forget to garnish it with

 A pinch of love and care
