So Blessed to be Here!

 I remember our beautiful day………

Where I met all my poet friends that day,

Each one a treasure beyond measure,

It was the most beautiful get-together!

Each of us so different in every way,

From different regions and cultures, out of the way,

Young and old, different professions too,

But, one thing was common that connected us through!

And that was our writing,

We wrote our minds, without any hiding,

In serious or funny light ways,

This helped us understand each other without any delay!

No one was a stranger here,

Meeting for the first time, yet so dear,

We connected the moment we met,

As I feel we all had a similar mindset!

It was a pleasure to meet the higher-ups,

All of them so humble, warm, hardworking yet tireless,

They mingled so well among us like one of us,

So thrilled to be among these great minds who are so robust!

The way each of us was honoured with certificates, memento and a shawl,

Seated and surrounded by dignitaries, with words of praise and proper protocol,

It will remain fresh in our minds for a lifetime to treasure,

I am so blessed to be one among these great authors and poets, all together!
