Smoky Skies
Smoky Skies
Mankind planted industry,
For accelerating prosperity,
But who knew this industry could turn,
The earth into a place where living things will burn?
Once a green, thick jungle,
Was day-by-day turned into a concrete jungle,
Trees were cut,
Buildings and factories were given birth.
Peace was reduced,
Chaos was introduced.
Manufacturing products was more important than the manufacturing of life,
Air pollution to cut the earth came as a new knife.
Money can make people do anything,
Even to perceive living things as non-living things.
Each day the chimneys blew polluted smoke,
Little by little the environment broke.
Blue skies with white clouds,
Now carry pollutants in crowds.
Pneumonia, bronchitis, lung cancer grew,
Making chances of survival few.
Traffic, ACs are equal contributors,
Why are we not caring for our future?
Results are global warming and glaciers melting,
Mother earth says "please stop my editing!".
Now also time is left,
Let's together take an appropriate step.
Let's reduce emissions and plant more trees,
To make the planet pollution free,
So that the future becomes greener to see.
