Sleepless Nights
Sleepless Nights
Sleepless nights, oh how they taunt
As darkness reigns and thoughts take haunt
The world outside is lost in dreams
While in my head chaos streams
The clock ticks on, and each minute slow
My eyes stay open, my mind won't go
I toss and turn, I try to find
A peaceful state, a calm mind
But worry grips me, fear takes hold
And Sleep seems like a story told
I count the hours, and the seconds pass
The night was so long, the darkness vast
Yet in this struggle, there's a chance
To face the fears, to take a stance
To see the world in a different light
And find the courage to take flight
For in the depths of sleepless nights
We learn to face our inner fights
And though it's hard, we can endure
For there's a strength that's ever pure
So let the night be what it may
For, in the end, in the light of day
Will come again, and we will see
That sleepless nights were meant to be.
